Terms of Use

Please read these terms before taking the test. Last updated: November 5, 2026.

Adults only

This independent Rice Purity Test is intended only for people aged 18 or older. The questions include sexual experiences, relationships, alcohol, substance use, and other adult themes. Do not take the interactive test if you are under 18.

Before starting, you are asked to declare that you are an adult and separately accept these terms. This is a self-declaration, not identity verification. We do not ask for a birth date, ID, or account. An age declaration is not consent to advertising cookies.

Entertainment and reflection

The test is not a psychological assessment, clinical evaluation, diagnosis, or professional advice. Your score does not measure your worth, morality, maturity, or health. It reflects only your answers to a particular version of a checklist.

The listed experiences are not goals or a bucket list. We do not encourage harmful, illegal, or unwanted behavior. You may stop at any time, and you never need to disclose or explain individual experiences to another person.

Free access and scoring

Taking a test, viewing a result, and saving a result image are free and do not require login. A quick score is calculated from 20 questions; a full score is calculated from 100. These are separate versions, and one score does not predict the other. See Score guide for the formulas and limits.

We aim to keep the test clear and reliable, but cannot promise uninterrupted availability or that the checklist fits every person's circumstances. Material question or scoring changes will be identified by version.

Local progress and voluntary sharing

Your answers and score are processed locally in your browser. Available session storage keeps progress and your confirmation state for this tab. Saving an image writes a file to your device; system sharing passes the selected image and test link to the app you choose. That app's own terms and privacy practices apply.

Share only what you want to share. Do not use a score to harass, pressure, shame, or impersonate someone. The Privacy Notice describes storage, hosting information, and sharing in more detail.

Independence

This site is independently operated and is not affiliated with Rice University. About this site explains our test versions and how they work.

Future advertising and updates

Advertising may be introduced later to support free access. No live advertising is loaded in this release. If services or data practices change, the relevant notices will be updated. Accepting these terms or confirming adulthood does not approve any future advertising consent request.

Updated terms will carry a new version. A material change may require you to confirm again before continuing the interactive test.
