SCORE GUIDE

Rice Purity Test score meaning

Your score starts at 100 and goes down with each Yes. A higher score means fewer of the listed experiences; a lower score means more.

How is the score calculated?

On the full test, subtract one point for each Yes. On our 20-question quick quiz, subtract five. No leaves the score unchanged. You need to answer every question to see a result; a blank answer does not count as No.

QUICK · 20 QUESTIONS

100 − Yes × 5

Five Yes answers: 100 − 5 × 5 = 75.

FULL · 100 QUESTIONS

100 − Yes

Twenty-eight Yes answers: 100 − 28 = 72.

Looking for a more personal reading?

Our Score meaning page offers a playful take on six score ranges, in the spirit of a horoscope. They are written for entertainment, rather than conclusions drawn from your answers.

Why quick and full scores can differ

A Quick Score of 75 means 5 Yes answers out of 20. A Full Score of 75 means 25 Yes answers out of 100. The quick quiz covers fewer experiences and gives each answer more weight.

Your quick score does not predict your full result. If you compare scores with someone, check that you took the same version.

Is a high or low score better?

There is no passing score. A full-test score of 100 means no Yes answers; 0 means Yes to every question. Neither result tells you whether someone is kind, mature, or a good partner.

The checklist leaves out much of a person's life, and some questions overlap. Treat the number as a count of answers, not a rating of yourself or anyone else. The experiences are not a bucket list.

What is the average Rice Purity Test score?

We do not have a verified average to offer. This site does not collect your answers or scores, so we cannot calculate an average for its visitors or for any age group.

If you see an average elsewhere, check which test was used and who took it. An average from people who chose to take an online quiz does not necessarily describe a wider population, and a full-test average cannot be applied to our quick version.

How to change an answer

Choose Review answers on your result page, make your changes, then select Update result. Your score and card will update. Taking a test again resets that version only; it keeps your progress in the other version.
