90–100 POINTS
The Quiet Observer
Most of the checklist is still unwritten for you—and that is rarely an accident. Having a high score doesn’t mean you lack curiosity; it means you aren’t interested in checking boxes just to keep up with the room. A familiar circle, genuine trust, or waiting for a moment that actually matters holds far more appeal than rushing into something for the sake of a story.
Still, there is a side of you that surprises people who mistake a clean slate for a predictable mind. You can entertain a wild idea without needing to act on it right away. Here, the defining theme isn’t playing it safe—it’s protecting your own timing.
Something to think about: Which "first" are you glad you didn’t rush into just to fit in?
80–89 POINTS
The Thoughtful Romantic
You have dipped a toe past the comfort zone, but you still move with intention. For you, new experiences—whether a late-night detour, a bent rule, or a step closer to someone—almost always depend on who is standing next to you. You have plenty of room for spontaneity when the chemistry is right, though you will always prefer a genuine invitation to peer pressure.
Part of you enjoys the thrill of a little mystery; another part likes knowing exactly where the ground is. You aren’t trying to rack up points or chase shock value—you just want the moments you say "yes" to to feel unmistakably yours.
Something to think about: What makes a new experience worth stepping out of your routine for?
60–79 POINTS
The Curious Explorer
You sit right in the sweet spot between comfort and chaos. You know the rush of seeing where an unplanned night goes—while still keeping a sensible exit plan in your back pocket. By now, you have crossed off enough of the list to have a few good stories, yet you remain discerning about which lines you actually want to cross.
People often meet different versions of you depending on the setting, and neither is an act. You can be the one suggesting a spontaneous detour on Friday and the one guarding your peace on Sunday. Lately, the question isn’t "Would I try it once?" so much as "Is it worth doing twice?"
Something to think about: Which spontaneous "why not?" moment turned into one of your favorite memories?
40–59 POINTS
The Free Spirit
You prefer learning by doing rather than watching from the sidelines. When faced with a questionable idea or a sudden change of plans, your instinct has often been to see it through "for the plot." You live comfortably in the tension between wanting deep connection and needing enough freedom to test your own limits.
Of course, a bold checklist doesn’t mean you have no boundaries. Once the novelty of a wild phase wears off, you are much more selective with your energy and company than people assume. Your story right now is about sorting through everything you’ve tried—and keeping only what truly fits.
Something to think about: Where in your life has breaking the script paid off the most?
20–39 POINTS
The After-Hours Storyteller
Where most people saw a caution sign, you usually saw a story worth finding out for yourself. You have collected the kind of late-night lore that can’t be faked: the 2 a.m. conversations, the impulsive detours, the nights that spiraled into legend. Some of those checkboxes are stories you tell at every party; others stay strictly between you and the people who were there.
Having a low score doesn’t make you an open book. In fact, having seen a little bit of everything often makes you the least judgmental person in the room. These days, chasing adrenaline matters far less than finding people you don’t have to perform for.
Something to think about: Which chapter of your past feels completely different now than it did in the moment?
0–19 POINTS
The Unexpected Chapter
You essentially ran out of boxes to check. You have treated conventional rules more like polite suggestions, diving headfirst into experiences most people only read about on a screen. When others see a score in the single digits or teens, they tend to assume they know your whole personality—missing the nuance, humor, and context behind how you got here.
What surprises people most is that living at full volume often creates a deep appreciation for the simple things: an honest conversation, a loyal friend, a quiet day with nothing to prove. You have already completed the side quests; your next chapter doesn’t owe anything to your old reputation.
Something to think about: What do people get most wrong when they judge you by your wildest stories?
Does this describe everyone with the same score?
Not at all. Because the Rice Purity Test covers everything from holding hands to minor rebellions and wild nightlife, two people can land on the exact same number through completely different combinations of answers. We designed these brackets as playful archetypes, not scientific personality types. Nothing here is a diagnosis or a prediction about your relationships, health, or future choices.
What does the number actually tell me?
Your score starts at 100 and drops by one point for every life experience you check off—meaning a higher number reflects fewer checked boxes, and a lower number reflects more.
- On the Full Test (100 questions): Each "Yes" subtracts 1 point. A score of 80 means 20 "Yes" answers.
- On the Quick Quiz (20 questions): Your result is scaled to 100 (each "Yes" subtracts 5 points). A score of 80 means 4 "Yes" answers.
While both versions share the same playful readings on this page, a Quick Quiz score is a snapshot rather than a full inventory. Read our Score guide for scoring formulas, history, and a detailed breakdown of Quick vs. Full results.
